Overview
Locall is a multi-device recording app that turns nearby iPhones and iPads into a synchronized recording rig. All connections and recording happen directly between your own devices, over your local network. There is no cloud service and no server.
The App does not collect, use, store, or share any personal information.
Information Collection
The App does not collect any data of any kind.
Specifically, the App does not collect:
- Personal information (such as name, email address, or contact details)
- Device information or identifiers, beyond what is needed to identify your own devices to each other during a session
- Usage data or analytics
- Location data
Microphone and Local Network Access
The App requests two permissions, both used solely to provide its core functionality:
- Microphone — used to record audio directly on your device as one track of a multi-device session.
- Local Network — used to discover and connect to your other nearby devices over Wi-Fi, so they can join the same recording session.
Audio recorded on a device stays on that device unless you choose to export or share it yourself. No audio or session data is sent to Locall or any third party.
Data Storage
The App does not store any personal data on any server.
Recordings are stored locally on each device that took part in a session. All synchronization and merging of tracks happens directly between your devices over your local network.
Third-Party Services
The App does not use any third-party services, including:
- Analytics providers
- Advertising networks
- Crash reporting tools
- External APIs or cloud storage
Data Sharing
No data is collected by the App; therefore, no data is shared with Locall or any third party.
Any recording you choose to export or share is done directly by you, through the sharing options you select.
Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Security
Because the App does not transmit data to any server, there is no risk of personal data exposure through the App itself. Recordings remain under your control, stored on your own devices.
International Use
The App is available worldwide. No personal data is collected or transferred across borders.
